Thanks,

LGN Jari James, FORCECOM-Operations

  • From COFORCECOM:

Your new DCOFORCECOM of the SFMC is Lieutenant General Jari James.

In the process of reviewing all the candidates that applied, Ms. James had the skill set necessary to take on these responsibilities. In the past Ms. James has previously been the DCOFORCECOM. She has also stepped in and served as COFORCECOM. She has also been the Commandant of the SFMC.

Should the need arise, I believe the Corps would be in good hands should I be temporarily incapacitated or otherwise unable to oerform my duties.

Let's all congratulate Lt. General James on her new appointment.

Sincerely,

Michael J Timko Sr

Lieutenant General, SFMC COFORCECOM

  • From COFORCECOM:

When filling out your unit report, it is requested you utilize the Google Form instead of the Gravity Form.  You can find this form at:  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1RGirXWDivEJWWn0Z1P1Ni4xD3l-GHthIpX66gKapg-8

  • From Lt. General Dustin Williams

Ok Marines just a heads up. Unit reports are due August first and are considered late after said date. Also keep in mind I will be out of pocket 2nd-4th at IC. I'm sure Yolonda will be able to check you in if you report after the first because she will be attending the VIC but I'm going to be far to busy at IC to go over reports till I get home.

Dusting that weekend if it's URGENT and you need MY attention you can reach me by Facebook or discord.

AGAIN REPORTS AFTER THE 1ST WILL BE CONSIDERED LATE.

  • From DEPDANT MGEN Chris Boggs

Greetings Marines!

There are some changes coming soon for the SFMCA. Per the SFMC General Staff, in conjunction with directives from STARFLEET HQ, TRACOM has been disbanded and dissolved. The SFMCA has been moved under STARFLEET Education Services, presided over by TJ Allen. We will become the Marine Training Center within STARFLEET Academy. Superintendent Michael Malotte has been tasked with overseeing this change and running the new SFA Marine program.

Our current Branch Directors will remain at their posts, but the school terminology will be changing somewhat to gel with the overall look and feel of the SFA. The following will be the new layout:

Institute of Marine Leadership
Cadet College (CC)
Leadership College (LD)
Non-Commissioned Officers College (NCO)
Officer Development College (OD)
Professional Development College (PD)
Unit Officers College (UOS)

Institute of Marine Forces
Aerospace College (AE)
Armor College (AR)
Infantry College (IN)
Special Operations College (SO)
Maritime Operations College (MO)
MECHA College (ME)
Combined Arms College (CA)

Institute of Marine Support
Combat Engineering College (CE)
Medical College (MD)
Support College (SU)

Obviously, a number of things will be changed, updated, and adjusted (i.e., the Marine Degree Program, manuals, etc) as this new program gets fully fleshed out and put into place. Dean Malotte and his staff will keep everyone in the loop as these changes are put in place.

As always, if you have any questions, please contact Michael Malotte.

Thank you

S. Christopher Boggs, MGen
Deputy Commandant, SFMC

  • From COL Yolonda Whitworth:

    Greetings,

As many of you know, one of the greatest fostering tools we have in the SFMC is actively involving the next generation in activities. Cadets are just as much the future of the SFMC as they are for SFI as a whole. With that thought in mind, 12th Brigade is stepping up to have activities geared towards the cadets within the Brigade. These are STEM/STEAM based challenges, created by a cadet who is liasoning with Brigade Staff to help appeal to our youngest generation while giving them activities that are fun, educational, and have SFMC field mechanics built in. To this initiative, the OIC and I would like to explain some of the ground rules we have put in place.

    1) Each challenge is designed for the Cadet to work on, either by themselves with limited parent/guardian help for our older Cadets, or as a full on fun activity for both the Cadet and their parent/guardian for our younger Cadets. The parent/guardian will be the point of contact, we will not have direct contact with the Cadets. Given everything that goes on in the world and the issues that exist online, we feel this is the best way that we can help our members protect and safeguard our youngest members. Safety is and will always be our first priority.

    2) Challenges will be posted on the first day of the month, they will be due during the last week of the month and certificates will be issued from the Brigade for the Cadet. We will post the number of Cadets that participated but we will not post who they are. I will be posting them in the Brigade Discord, the Brigade Facebook, our Brigade section on the SFMC Discord, and the website. Since it has been mentioned before, this will not get them the Brigade Challenge Ribbon. It will get them a beautifully crafted certificate with original art that looks different from the other challenge certificates.

    3) Yes, this involves parents/guardians being involved for their Cadets. I'm fairly certain all of us are already, I have a cadet as well and will be involved in this with them. This doesn't mean that we do all the work because the idea of this is to challenge our Cadets and let them have fun while learning and being involved.

    4) If you have an idea for a challenge, please let us know! We are always open to ideas and welcome them.

    5) The first challenge will launch on July 1st. Parents/Guardians, you will get a treat out of this one. It is designed to teach the basics of thermal dynamics and is a useful field skill for any STARFLEET Marine to have.

    6) Adult Brigade members can participate for fun, but only Cadets will receive a certificate.

Any questions, suggestions, etc. please do not hesitate to DM me on any of the social medias or via my email - sfmc12thbdedoic@sfi.com.

    COL Yolonda Whitworth, SFMD
    12th BDE DOIC (R)

  • From Lt GEN Dustin Williams:  COFORECECOM WILL NOT award Meritorious Unit Citations to any unit that DOES NOT REPORT IN by midnight local on the 1st of a CYCLE REPORTING MONTH. For 2024, August, October, AND December reports MUST be in by the end of the day on the 1st to get a MUC Award.

  • From Lt GEN Dustin Williams:  Any group of Marines, as in a watch party of more than one, that watch the Netflix series Atlas need to let their unit OIC know with all members identified so they can add it to their MSR.  Those that do will receive an activity credit.

  • From Lt GEN Dustin Williams: Attention on Deck! FADM Les Rickard is stepping down as BDOIC and I cant say enough how much I thank him for his service. He was an inspiration and helpful when I was getting steady in this position. I would now like to announce that the new BDOIC is Col. (R) Yolonda Whitworth. Lets give her a hand and be nice as she gets adjusted to her new position.  BDE HQ OUT

    • From Lt GEN Dustin Williams:  Hey OIC's! Please make sure your rosters are correct. Make sure nobody is missing and that you don't have people on the roster that is not supposed to be.   I'll be emailing some of you about your rosters. Those of you with a Gmail will most likely get a email from my Gmail with the first part of the email starting with omega.  Having a current and up to date roster is key to any units success. It is also your duty to create and maintain accurate records. Any questions you can email me at sfmc12thbde@sfi.org
